Breck and Copper

My friend who we went snowmobiling with used to be a nationally ranked skier and professional ski bum (true stories). So we hit up Breck with her cousins and had a blast. Not only does her cousin work there so we got an awesome experience being on the mountain, but she and her husband are just about the nicest people we’ve met in Colorado. Of particular note, I failed catastrophically at the T Bar. Not the runs off the T Bar, but the actual stupid T Bar. I fell getting on and then I fell halfway up. Thankfully all I missed were whiteout conditions.

The next day we went to Copper Mountain where my friend earned her ski bum stripes. The weather was perfect, the snow was as good as I’ve skied on all year and we got an epic tour. Unfortunately the back bowl was closed, but see if you can get an idea of the view:

I’m also getting markedly better at skiing and can ski most blacks that don’t have bumps. It is so awesome to hone a skill, spend time with friends, and enjoy all that Colorado has to offer. Pray for powder!
