Mt. Bierstadt- My Second 14er

I’d been feeling like I haven’t been outdoors enough recently so I recruited some friends to climb Mt. Bierstadt, a 14,060 foot peak in Colorado (’cause ya know, when you live in Denver, you can just do that. It’s pretty awesome).

We left Denver at 0530 and were on the trail at 0645 with views like this to start us off.

We were treated to views of Colorado wildflowers and the famed Sawtooth that connects Mt. Bierstadt to Mt. Evans.

Just a few of the many wildflowers we saw

Sawtooth with Mt. Evans on the left and Mt. Bierstadt on the right.

The views were pretty spectacular.

And my friends were excited to summit their first 14er:

I was happy to introduce friends to Colorado 14ers and spend a perfect Sunday morning in the best of what Colorado has to offer.

Feel like I’m on top of the world. I kind of look like it, too.

The hike ended with beautiful views and it was nice to earn some yummy treats upon my return home.

Why would anyone do anything else on a Sunday morning?
