My first scarf!
Ok, this is supposed to be an adventure blog, but I’m not some one dimensional endurance athlete. No, I’m multifaceted! In addition to ranging the backcountry, I apparently knit, too. Ok, I don’t really knit. But somehow I stumbled upon this pattern on Purl Bee and had to make it.

It looked so soft and beautiful, I had to give it a try!
Without knowing how to knit I ran to my local crafts store (they were SO helpful!), loaded up on some wool and started knit knit knitting away!

I spent a fortune on this decadent Peruvian wool (if you think going all in is limited to running a marathon in Antarctica, you are wrong)
Yada yada yada a month of knitting a row at a time through football season and 400 yards of yarn later, I knit my very first scarf!
Ta-da! I’m thinking of making myself a fantastically awesome matching chunky beanie with a pom-pom on it for popping around après ski- what do you think?
BEAUTIFUL scarf! Looks amazingly warm & cozy. You could go into business on Etsy. Because you have like, so much free time 😉
Thanks! It is super warm and cozy! I found that I like knitting because it allows me to multitask and makes TV time less wasteful and more productive 🙂 I totally can’t relax! 🙂
I really like your scarf!!! it looks warm and cozy. I say go for it, make a matching hat!!!
Do what you love…
