Hiking Tilden Park
On Sunday our good friend invited us on a walk around Tilden Park. Our walk turned into a 4 hour excursion with pit stops for snacks and a ride on one of two steam trains. It was my first time hiking in the Berkeley hills and I was really impressed by the steep uphills that afforded spectacular views. Regrettably it was pretty hazy, but through the haze you could see downtown San Francisco, the Golden Gate bridge, Marin County, and on the other side I got a better view of Briones and Mount Diablo. I can’t believe this was all accessible on a walk from home!
