Big Sur
On Saturday, on a whim, The Boy and I decided to drive south to Julia Pfeiffer Burns (JPB) State Park to explore Big Sur. We stopped in Carmel for lunch (reminded us of Park City but with palm trees instead of ski lifts), enjoyed gorgeous views along Highway 1 to and from JPB, and then swung through Santa Cruz on our way back (reminded us of Boulder but with surfers instead of climbers).
I must camp at JPB State Park at some point in my life- the views from the campsite are like nothing I have ever seen and would make for a really memorable weekend. To give you an idea of how gorgeous it was, all of these pictures are from my iPhone and nearly half were taken from a moving car! It is breathtaking!
